Crystal Springs and the Penn State Hershey Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion encourage healthy hydration at Park City Center

HERSHEY, Pa. – Saturday, February 14 is Valentine's Day and what better way to show a loved one how much you care than to visit center court at Park City Center and learn more together about leading a healthy lifestyle.

Crystal Springs has partnered with the Penn State Hershey Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion (Center) to promote its new health education message, nrgBalance 12345! The message provides five, simple behaviors for being healthy every day: one or more hours of physical activity, two or less hours of screen time, three balanced meals, four or more cups of water or low/no-calorie beverages, and five or more servings of fruits and vegetables.

This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Lancaster County residents are invited to visit Park City Center and Crystal Springs' hydration station to learn more about the health benefits of drinking water and tips for how families can work together to achieve each of the five nrgBalance 12345! recommendations.

With the help of Crystal Springs and other local partners, including the Lighten Up Lancaster County Coalition, the Center is hosting a series of events, titled "Countdown to nrgBalance," this spring and winter throughout Lancaster County to connect families with local resources for leading healthier lifestyles.

In addition to Crystal Springs' hydration station, the Lighten Up Lancaster County Coalition also will be at Park City Center this Saturday hosting an America on the Move event from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Pedometers will be handed out while supplies last, along with a map of Park City Center's "mall walk" - a 1.3 mile route.

For a complete listing of Countdown to nrgBalance events, please contact Lynne Zanowski, regional coordinator for the Center at 717. 940.6647 .

“The stellar interaction between the Center and administrators at six PA public schools led to a very successful week-long health ride. I enjoyed working with the Center and would highly recommend them as partners in any future projects.”
