Why host a Health Summit?
Since 2007, the Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to highlight outdoor play and recreation in Pennsylvania’s State Parks as a great physical activity opportunity for youth and families.
The Summit is being planned in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and will help advance Goal 1 of Pennsylvania’s 2009-2013 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan, "Strengthen Connections between Outdoor Recreation, Healthy Lifestyles, and Economic Benefits in Communities."
