Donna assumed the role of Interim Executive Director in September 2009. Since joining Penn State's Department of Public Health Sciences in 1993, Donna has managed several NIH-sponsored clinical trial projects. She has experience in grant writing and reporting, budget management, staff supervision, and networking and collaborating with external partners.

Active Communities Coordinator

As Active Communities Coordinator, Farah manages the Center's Safe Routes to School Academy, working closely with transportation professionals, municipal planners and community partners to address environmental factors that affect the health and well-being of children throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

Assistant to the Director

As Assistant to the Director, Jody's background in business administration is crucial to the Center's operation. Her duties include the supervision of the Center's program management system and internal staff processes; management of the Center's grant and contract administration, business partnerships for goods and services, and professional development trainings. She also oversees the operations of the state network PANA.

Public Relations Manager

Danielle manages the public relations efforts on behalf of the Center and its state network, Pennsylvania Advocates for Nutrition & Activity. Her duties include composition and distribution of PANA's monthly eNewsletter, press release writing and distribution, media pitching, and Web site content development. In addition, she directs the development and promotion of nrgBalance events – Go for the Greens, Move It Outside, and Apple Crunch.

Regional Coordinator

(B.S., Business Administration with a Marketing concentration, Millersville University)

Lynne works in Lancaster County and serves as a field representative to promote and support the nrgBalance brand in schools and community recreation centers. As the mother of two middle school-aged children she has developed a passion for making kids more aware of the importance of sound nutrition and regular physical activity. A National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer with youth specific credentials, Lynne has developed fitness camps and programs that have been run in both school and recreation center settings.
